TD-LTE picking up speed as a strong alternative to WiMAX
TD-LTE is expanding well beyond China with Qualcomm's recent announcement that it will bid for unpaired LTE bands in India. Russia may also become a market for TD-LTE. TD-LTE is a strong alternative to WiMAX for high-speed mobile broadband services in unpaired bands, and economies-of-scale are likely to happen as TD-LTE shares much of it's technical basis with FD-LTE for paired bands.
